OSPS District Reopening Plan 2.0

OSPS District Reopening Plan 2.0
Posted on 09/29/2020
Part of the state’s requirements for opening of  schools in the fall was the completion of the Connecticut School Reopening Template, which is part of the Connecticut School Reopening Plan, "Adapt, Advance, Achieve: Connecticut's Plan to Learn and Grow Together". The first version of this plan was presented to the Board of Education for review at their meeting on Tuesday, July 21, 2020. In addition, it was reviewed and accepted by the  Connecticut River Area Health District and reviewed by Old Saybrook Emergency Management. With Old Saybrook Public Schools reopening in full on Monday, October 5, 2020, the plan has been revised to reflect new guidance from the state and the Department of Public Health. Revisions have also been made to update best practices at each building. The plan is driven by a combination of the requirements (marked CR in the plan) and guidance (Marked CG in the plan) set forth by the state of Connecticut, as well as decisions made at the local level regarding best practices (Marked OS in the plan).
