The Morgan/Old Saybrook/Westbrook Football Co-op is off to a great start with back-to-back victories over Haddam-Killingworth and Coventry. MSW opened the season with a 44 - 20 win over Haddam/Killingworth on September 8th in a game that was suspended due to lightning and restarted the following morning. The team followed its first win as a new program with a 54 - 0 win over Coventry on September 15th in Clinton. The squad is finding success with major contributions from all three towns. Senior Captain Bardh Thaci attributes the team's early success to “everyone coming together so quickly, working with these guys last year made the transition really easy.” MSW’s next game will be on Friday, September 22nd at 6:30PM against Capital Prep at Peter’s Complex in Clinton.
The program is looking forward to hosting a game at Old Saybrook against Coginchaug on October 13th. The football team is bolstered by their amazing cheerleading squad which also has team members from all three towns and is one of the biggest in the conference. Go MSW!
