Mean Girls follows a girl named Cady Heron, who has just moved from Africa and has been homeschooled her whole life. When she gets to school, she befriends Janice and Damien who warn her about the “Plastics” who are the most popular kids in school, led by Regina George. Janice, Damien and Cady eventually think of a brilliant plan to sabotage Regina and her friends by using her smarts to outwit them. Will their plan succeed, or will it crash and burn in Cady’s face?

The show is directed by Nicole Willis, who is directing her first ever musical at Old Saybrook High School and musical direction is by Jeremy Milton. Willis expressed her views on how the musical is going so far. Willis stated, “Mean Girls is a cultural phenomenon that most people, both young and old have some experience with. It’s been really fun to bring the story to life on stage. The kids are doing an amazing job considering that this is an extremely high energy show. You will be dancing along in your seats.”
